CHIN SWEE CAVES TEMPLE, GENTING HIGHLANDS
A magnificent mountaintop temple featuring traditional Chinese architecture, religious landmarks, and breathtaking views of the surrounding highlands
Overview
Chin Swee Caves Temple is one of the most iconic cultural and religious attractions in Genting Highlands, perched on a scenic mountainside approximately 1,400 metres above sea level.
Established in the 1970s, the temple was built in honour of Reverend Master Chin Swee, a Buddhist monk renowned for his contributions to society and his ability to invoke rain during droughts.
Covering a large hillside area, the temple complex features traditional Chinese architecture, prayer halls, pagodas, statues, landscaped gardens, and observation areas overlooking the surrounding rainforest-covered mountains.
Today, the temple serves as both an important place of worship and a popular tourist attraction, welcoming visitors from all backgrounds.
