CHIANG RAI CLOCK TOWER, CHIANG RAI
A golden illuminated landmark in the heart of Chiang Rai, famous for its nightly light and sound show designed by national artist Chalermchai Kositpipat
Overview
Chiang Rai Clock Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in northern Thailand,
located in the center of Chiang Rai city. Designed by renowned Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat,
the same artist behind the White Temple, the structure blends intricate Thai artistry with modern urban design.
Although it functions as a traffic circle landmark during the day, the Clock Tower transforms into a golden spectacle at night,
illuminated with shifting colors and accompanied by a short music and light show.
It serves as a symbolic centerpiece of Chiang Rai and is a popular meeting point for both locals and visitors exploring the city.
