PETRONAS TOWERS, KUALA LUMPUR

The iconic twin skyscrapers and symbol of modern Malaysia

Overview

Petronas Towers are the most famous landmarks in Kuala Lumpur and one of the most recognizable skyscrapers in the world. Standing proudly in the heart of Malaysia’s capital city, the twin towers symbolize the country’s rapid modernization and economic growth.

Completed in 1998, the towers were designed by Argentine architect César Pelli and were once the tallest buildings in the world. Each tower rises to a height of 452 meters with 88 floors, connected by the famous double-decker Skybridge on the 41st and 42nd floors.

The towers house corporate offices, shopping facilities, restaurants, and entertainment venues. At the base of the towers is Suria KLCC, one of Malaysia’s premier luxury shopping malls, while nearby attractions include KLCC Park, the Petrosains Discovery Centre, and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

At night, the illuminated towers dominate the Kuala Lumpur skyline and attract thousands of visitors who come to admire their impressive architecture and panoramic city views.
