LANGKAWI CABLE CAR (SKYCAB), LANGKAWI

One of the world's steepest cable car rides with spectacular views of Langkawi and the Andaman Sea

Overview

Langkawi Cable Car, also known as SkyCab, is one of the island's most famous attractions and offers visitors an unforgettable journey above tropical rainforest, mountains, and coastal scenery.

Opened in 2002, the cable car system connects the Oriental Village at Pantai Kok to the summit of Mount Mat Cincang, one of Langkawi's highest peaks. The ride covers over 2 kilometres and rises to an elevation of approximately 708 metres above sea level.

During the journey, visitors enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of dense rainforest, waterfalls, nearby islands, and the Andaman Sea. On clear days, it is even possible to see parts of southern Thailand in the distance.

The cable car serves as the main access point to several attractions including the Langkawi Sky Bridge, SkyGlide, observation platforms, and various family-friendly entertainment experiences.
