TELAGA TUJUH (SEVEN WELLS WATERFALL), LANGKAWI
A legendary rainforest waterfall with seven natural pools cascading down Mount Mat Cincang
Overview
Telaga Tujuh Waterfall, also known as the Seven Wells Waterfall, is one of Langkawi’s most beautiful natural attractions. Located at the foothills of Mount Mat Cincang, it is famous for its seven connected natural pools formed by cascading mountain streams.
The name “Telaga Tujuh” comes from the seven natural pools that are carved into the rock face, which local legend says were once bathing places for fairies. Surrounded by dense tropical rainforest, the waterfall offers a refreshing escape from Langkawi’s coastal heat.
The site is part of the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park and is known for its rich biodiversity, dramatic rock formations, and crystal-clear freshwater streams flowing down steep granite slopes.
Visitors can enjoy both the lower waterfall area and the challenging hike up to the upper pools, which reward climbers with panoramic views of the surrounding rainforest and islands.
