Overview
Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is a protected area located just off the coast of
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The park consists of five beautiful islands: Gaya, Sapi, Manukan,
Mamutik, and Sulug.
Established in 1974, the park is named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman.
It is one of Sabah’s most popular marine tourism destinations, known for its crystal-clear waters,
coral reefs, and rich marine biodiversity.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including snorkeling, diving, island hopping,
jungle trekking, and beach relaxation. The islands are easily accessible by boat from Jesselton Point
Ferry Terminal in Kota Kinabalu.
